Annual Town Meeting gets underway at 7 p.m. tomorrow, May 12, in the Miscoe Hill gymnasium.
Town officials anticipate a high turnout due to the Proposition 2½ override request, which will be decided as an amendment to Article 4 on the 34-article warrant.
Upton Town Meeting approved the override request last week and voters there will take up the question at the polls tomorrow. Both towns must approve the override at Town Meeting and the ballot for it to take effect. Mendon’s town election is May 19.
Free babysitting will be available at Mendon Town Meeting courtesy of volunteers from the scouts and local nonprofit Next Steps Sports Academy. Parents can register their children ahead of time.
The Mendon Senior Center is offering rides to Town Meeting for anyone over 60 or who is disabled. Request a ride by emailing Amy Wilson Kent or leaving a message at 508-478-6175, ext. 1.
The 2026 Mendon Annual Town Meeting Warrant is available online with explainers for each of the articles.
