Stay active! Return your town census form
Town census forms were mailed to every household last month. If yours is still under a pile of mail, be sure to dig it out and return it to the town clerk. Otherwise, every registered voter in your household will be placed on the inactive voter roll. The town clerk will mail a postcard alerting you that you’ve been placed on the inactive voter roll. Return the card to confirm you still live in town.
Inactive voters who show up at the polls will have to show ID and sign an affidavit affirming they still live in town.
If an inactive voter doesn’t participate in an election activity (voting, signing a petition or nomination papers, returning their census, or changing their voter registration) for two federal election cycles, they’ll be deleted from the list of registered voters.
Dog Licensing
Dog owners have until March 31 to renew their pet’s license. You can renew online if the town clerk has an up-to-date rabies certificate on file.
Residents with more than four dogs must apply for a kennel license. Call the town clerk’s office at 508 473-1085 for more information.
